PM Surya Ghar: What Changed for Andhra Pradesh Homeowners in 2026

A quick rundown of this year’s subsidy slab changes and what they mean for a typical rooftop application.

The PM Surya Ghar scheme’s subsidy slabs were revised again this year, and the change matters most for homes in the 3–5 kW range — the size most Andhra Pradesh households actually install.

What’s different

The per-kW subsidy for the first 3 kW hasn’t moved, but the incremental rate for the 3–10 kW band was adjusted slightly upward, which works in most homeowners’ favor if you’re sizing a system just above the old threshold.

What this means for your application

If you’ve already submitted a DISCOM application under the old slab, existing approvals aren’t affected — the new rate only applies to fresh applications from this notification onward. We’re updating every in-progress quote to reflect it automatically.
